Thyroidgland secretes they roxin or tetraiodothyronine (T4) and triodothyronine (T3 ) which regulate the metabolic rate of the body and maintain basal metabolic rate. It also secretes calcitrnia .
Thymus secretes thymosin, involved in providing cell mediated immunity to the body.
