Explain the role of the allosteric sites in enzyme inhibition?

Some drugs do not bind to the active sile of enzymes to inhibit their activities. These bind To a different site o enzyme. his binding of inhibitor (drug) changes the shape of the active sile in such a way that the substrate cannot recognize it.

The site was different from the active site of an enzyme where a drug molecule can bind is called the allosteric site.

Non-competitive inhibitor changes the active site of the enzyme after binding at the allosteric Sites.
